Neil Gaiman! Neil Gaiman! (And his son! XD)

Pictures of the 2007 Philippine Graphic/Fiction Awards Night (wow, parang FAMAS), sponsored by Fully Booked and co-presented by Neil Gaiman himself (in the flesh, to quote the email to me from Fully Booked).

I was a bit too shy to write about it before, but now that the awarding is done-- my story, "The Murder of Halimumog" was one of the shortlisted (top 11) entries in the prose category. :) I'm insanely happy, as you can probably imagine, especially since I had so much fun writing that story. (And it's Juan and Maria, haha! My beloved love/hate mystery-solving couple. XD)

I didn't win, of course, but I still had so much fun. Hello again to Sharmaine (Galve) and Erin (Chupeco)! It was nice talking to both of you, if only briefly, ehehe. (I got too shy. ^^;;;)

Congratulations to all the winners, btw! (If any of you still have pics, please link to them here, and I will steal them, hehe.)

Book signing! Meron pa akong mga libro na di nababasa. ^^; Pero na-overhear sa mga tao sa likod namin ng sister ko nung event na apparently, ang condition raw na babalik lang siya sa Pilipinas kung di na siya maghohold ng malaking booksigning event ulit? Kasi ang dami nung last time (I was one of them too! ehehe). ^^;;; Pero baka di totoo--baka tsismis lang pala....
